For sellers — post your first ad
- Snap a photo
Use your phone to take 1–5 clear pictures of what you're selling. Good light + plain background = more buyers.
- Write a short title & price
Be specific: "Toyota Hilux 2015 — clean" beats "Car for sale". Choose a category and your city. Price in SSP or USD.
- Add your shop location (optional)
Search the area on the map OR just upload 1–3 photos of your shop front so buyers can find you in person.
- Hit Post
Your ad goes live in seconds. You can edit, pause or delete it anytime from My listings.
- (Optional) Boost it
Pay once for guaranteed views. Your ad jumps to the top of the homepage and category pages until enough buyers see it.
For buyers — find what you want
- Search or browse
Use the search bar, filter by category or city, or just scroll the homepage.
- Chat or call the seller
Open any ad → tap "Show contact" to call, or "Message seller" to chat directly. Most sellers reply within minutes.
- Meet & inspect
Always inspect the item before paying. Meet in a busy public place — markets, malls or your shop. Never pay before you see it.
Payments
Buyer ↔ seller payments happen directly between you — souqss doesn't hold your money. We only process payments when you boost an ad or subscribe to SouqSS Pro, using secure Visa, Mastercard or bank transfer via Paystack.
Safety tips
- Always inspect goods in person before paying.
- Meet at busy public places — markets, malls, your shop.
- Never share bank passwords, OTPs or full card details with anyone.
- If a deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Report it.
